Minnesota Man Charged in Illegal Sports Betting Ring

Last week the Minnesota Department of Public Safety’s Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division was able to charge a Lakeland man who was being investigated for running an illegal sports gambling operation back in March of 2006. The department had been investigating the man for over two years and finally found enough information to bring charges. (03/12)

Jockey Chris Munce Banned from Riding

It has only been a few weeks since Chris Munce was released from jail and he has now been banned from riding for thirty months by the Hong Kong Jockey Club. Munce is a former Melbourne Cup winner and was found guilty of additional charges in the ‘tips for bets’ case that he already served time for. (01/12)
