New Jersey to join lawsuit over federal ban against sports betting

Lawmakers in New Jersey recently approved a measure that allows the State Senate President Steven Sweeney to join legal action over a federal ban on sports betting in the state. Senator Ray Lesniak sponsored the resolution and a suit was filed last March that challenged the eighteen year old ban. The ban limits sports betting to Nevada, Delaware, Oregon and Montana. (25/02)

Brothers Plead Guilty in Sports Gambling Case

Brothers, Michael and Anthony Sansone, the grandsons of a Kansas City organized crime boss, have pleaded guilty to operating an illegal sports gambling operation. Both were in court on Friday on charges for their roles in an internet betting operation. (22/02)
