Bet24, an online gambling operator has hired a new Chief Executive Officer. Maria Karlsson has been appointed the new job title. Lotto Lindquist-Brosjö held the job for two years and has now decided to leave the company to pursue other business interests.

Karlsson has been working with Bet24 for some time and has held many positions in the company. She was the Chief Financial Officer in 2006 and January this year she became the deputy CEO of the company.

The Chairman of the Board for Bet24, Jørgen Madsen, announced Karlsson’s new title and commented: “Maria has an extensive knowledge of the business as she has been both CFO and Deputy CEO. In her roles she has also been very much involved in the transformation of Bet24 during the past years and she will be able to take us to the next level.”

Bet24 was created in 2001 and in 2005 was acquired by the Modern Times Group AB. Since then the MTB has been rapid developing the company creating a large growth in sales and gross profits. Bet24 has clients in over 60 countries and they offer Casino, Poker, bingo, Lotto and odds on sporting events.
