Delaware Bettors Want More Than Parlays
The state of Delaware was trying to bring their citizens sports betting options and along the way the government became involved. Because of this the state is offering only parlay gambling. Many citizens want to be able to post single game betting and so the parlay betting is not doing very well in the state.

Mike Straightiff of Delaware told the Delaware News-Journal: “I was looking forward to coming out the first couple weeks to see what it was like. I still will do that, but the enthusiasm isn’t there.” Another resident of the state commented that “parlays aren’t worth it”.

Players would like to be able to bet on single games in Delaware instead of parlays because the house odds are better for the player. Sports books take about 4.5 percent of straight plays on a general basis but the number goes up almost thirty two percent in parlays.

Because of recent court rulings, the state may only be able to provide residents with football betting options. This may also hurt the state when it comes to revenues from the sports betting as many people may want to be on other sports besides football.
