Delaware Casinos Getting Ready for Sports Betting
Since legislation is complete, Delaware casinos are currently getting ready to offer sports betting by this fall. Some casinos have already started construction of betting parlors or other options for those who may be visiting to place sports bets.Dover Downs Hotel and Casino is one of the busy casinos getting ready for the sports betting options this fall. The casino has already started working on a new sport betting parlor as well as a restaurant. The CEO of the Downs stated that part of a closed restaurant is being changed into the new betting parlor along with the new restaurant.
The Downs plans on opening the new betting parlor in time for the NFL season which is set to begin in September. Ed Sutor the CEO of the casino commented that people placing bets on sports will be quite different from those who bet at the race tracks. He stated: “So the weekends, especially in the fall, a totally different demographic comes in. they’re the sports betters and they bring their buddies and high five one another.”
