Legislators in the state of Delaware are considering the option of legalizing sports betting. Many legislators believe that sports betting should be passed and that it would help the state. However if legislation is passed it will be in a different form than just regular sports betting.

Bob Gilligan is the House Speaker in Delaware and he believes that sports betting could be approved and if legislation does decided to go for it that it will happen very quickly. If the state does legalize sports betting it will come in the form of parlays.

Parlays are when a person must bet on multiple games to win. This type of sports betting has lower odds for the gambler but at least the state will be offering the service.

Jack Markell, the governor of Delaware has not stated whether he is for or against sports betting. Markell has commented that he needs more information before he makes a decision on whether he will support legislation to approve sports betting.
