A Delaware man has set a new record for the biggest win so far in the sports betting offerings in the state. Delaware recently began offering parlay betting the lucky man won $96,000 when he bought two 10 team parlay tickets.

The man is from Magnolia and he spent $100 on one ticket and $20 on the other. It resulted in a win of $96,000. Ed Sutor the Dover Downs President and CEO commented: “The $96,000 jackpot is the biggest thus far in Delaware, and we are very excited to announce this sizable win.”

Sutor continued to say that it was a good weekend for the winner as well as the many other sports bettors in Delaware because more of the favored teams covered their spread. As we reported previously, the weekend was so good that the computer system froze for some time and payouts were unable to be processed.

The state has seen a great turnout for the parlay betting, despite not being able to offer full sports betting. Estimates early in the year showed that the state would not do well with just parlay betting but it seems as though they are doing pretty good.
