Derby Chairman Unconcerned about Match-fixing Allegations
Adam Pearson, Derby Chairman, has stated that he is not concerned about the allegations being made toward the Derby’s 2-1 victory over Norwich. The Football Association has received documents showing extraordinary betting patterns in the Asian market so now many believed the match was fixed.

MP’s Dr Ian Gibson and Gordon Lamb have taken the information to parliament. As this happens the Football Association has yet to release a statement but Pearson has said that the Derby will cooperate with the investigation. Pearson has stated that he is confident that there was no wrong doing.

"We have heard that they intend to investigate the game on the back of these comments that this MP in Norwich has made," Pearson told Sky Sports News. “We are not concerned in any way. If we are asked to comply with Norwich then we will do so and fully cooperate with them."

During the match David Marshall made a mistake and Nathan Ellington took advantage of that mistake to score a later winner in the match on October 4th. Early in the second half, Derby goalkeeper Roy Carroll was sent off early.

Pearson also stated that the politicians need to leave football to the FA and the Football League. Pearson also stated they would not conduct an internal investigation until the FA asks them to.
