Eurosport to Launch New Betting Service after Obtaining License
Eurosport, a sports entertainment group, will soon be launching their new betting service. Eurosport recently earned a remote gambling license, which gives them the go ahead to launch their new service. The Alderney Gambling Control Commission awarded the license to Eurosport. The new EurosportBET sports betting platform should be launched by mid 2009. The new platform was developed by Serendipity and Eurosport and the new service will be available in the United Kingdom first before opening in other countries.
The head of e-commerce development in Alderney, Robin Le Prevost commented on Eurosport gaining their license: “We believe that Alderney is the home of e-gambling and we are absolutely thrilled to welcome Eurosport to our growing list of licensees.”
After opening in the UK, Eurosport will focus on the gambling market in France, which should be moving into the gambling market soon. Other European countries with regulated gambling sectors will be the next move as well for the company.
