After disposing of the Pittsburgh Steelers this past Sunday and extending their undefeated season to 13-0, the New England Patriots find themselves in the public eye yet again heading into their 14th regular season game against the New York Jets.

The mighty Patriots, led by quarterback Tom Brady and high-octane receiver Randy Moss, have taken on yet another record this season – they will be the biggest favorite ever in an NFL game according to Las Vegas Sports Consultants, who directly advise Nevada sportsbooks on their lines. The 26-point betting line comes out as the lowely Jets (3-10) come into New England’s home field at Gillette Stadium this weekend.

The near-4 touchdown spread was put together by LVSC on a variety of factors, most notably because of New England’s league-leading 38.7 points-per-game average and a sort of “unfinished business” that head coach Bill Belichick has against the Jets. Add in the fact that the Jets are one of the worst teams on both sides of the ball, as well as coming into a hostile road environment, then it’s simple to see how such a betting line was equated.
