The 2012 Super Bowl has come and gone and many who wagered on the game were able to make a profit, especially the bookies. Las Vegas is a top gambling destination and they saw tons of wagers taking place on this year’s Super Bowl and managed to make a nice profit.

Sports books were worried that with three points in the options, the New York Giants would win and the house would lose if they covered the spread. However, this did not happen.
Reports have shown that Nevada was able to take in over $93 million in sports wagers for the big game. These wagers were spread over 184 different sports books. When the game was over, the sports
books in Las Vegas were able to earn $5,064,470.

This is an amazing amount of cash, but nothing compared to the amount that was placed in wagers across the state. Gamblers were out in full force this year to see if their picks would earn them cash. Many players won nice payouts but there were also many who went home empty handed.

The state was able happy with the outcome as well. A few years ago, the city lost millions of dollars when the Patriots and Giants faced each other in the Super Bowl. However this year was quite different and sports books were able to turn a nice profit!
