NFL Lottery Tickets Issued Despite the Leagues Feelings on Gambling
The NFL has been steadily behind the movement to keep sports gambling from the United States. They have filed a suit against the state of Delaware to prevent betting on sports as well as lobbying against movements made to allow sports betting in the United States. However the league has shown a different side of them as the Dallas Cowboys become the newest NFL team to be featured on lottery tickets.

It seems as though the NFL is being a hypocrite when they are so strongly opposed to sports betting in the United States but yet they will allow the sports teams to be placed on lottery tickets. In two weeks the Dallas Cowboys will be featured on scratch off games tickets as part of the Texas Lottery. Its seems wrong that the NFL can make money off of their teams being featured on Lottery tickets as they are fighting against sports being affiliated with gambling.

A spokesman stated the NFL’s feeling on the lottery next to sports betting. "It [a lottery] has nothing to do with what takes place on the field." NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told the Dallas News. Hopefully for those of us who want to see sports betting legal in the United States, officials will see that these offerings made by the NFL are not right with their stance against sports betting and no one will listen to the NFL’s opinion.
