Sportingbet Looks to Move into UK
Executives at Sporting bet have stated that they are looking into increasing their sports booking business in Britain. The company is adjusting their marketing strategy to focus on bringing their business to the United Kingdom.

Sportingbet has decided to change gears and remove some of their advertising from other areas in Europe to now begin focusing on the UK. Sportingbet spends almost $100 million on ads throughout Europe and now will take a good deal of those funds to focus on the UK.

Andrew McIver the CEO of Sportingbet commented: “We are coming from a low base and we can compete with the likes of William Hill and Ladbrokes.” He also commented that with proper marketing the company can build their UK business from their current six percent revenue to ten percent in just a year and a half.

Part of Sportingbet’s strategy began when they signed a sponsorship deal with the Wolverhampton Wanderers, which was done just a month ago. Sportingbet has decided to focus on sports since poker has faded in the area and competition as casinos is strong.
