Top bookmaker, Coral, will be teaming up with the Professional Darts Corporation to sponsor the Players Darts Championship which will be held at the Circus Tavern in Essex in January. The top thirty two players from the 2008 Players Championship Order of Merit will be competing for £200,000 in prize money.

Fans will be able to view the tournament live on ITV4 from January 30th until February 1st. Players Darts Championship Chairman Barry Heam commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Coral as the headline sponsor for the Players Championship. We thank them for their support of this new event, and their backing is a reflection of the interest this event has created in the sport.”

The Players Championship winner will receive £50,000 and second place will take home £25,000. Semi finalists will win £12,500 while quarter finalists will win £8,500. So even if you make it close to the finals you still will win a nice prize. Those who make it only to the second round will receive £4,000 while those who are knocked out in the first round will receive £2000.
