Sports Betting Revenue Impresses Head of Finance in Delaware
Parlay sports betting in Delaware has gotten rave reviews even though the betting is limited and not what was originally going to be offered. Tom Cook the acting Finance Secretary of Delaware has spoken highly of the sports betting offerings and commented that the latest revenues have shown yet another significant increase.

On Wednesday Cook commented that the revenues have grown on a weekly basis and they continue to increase in large jumps that to him are quite impressive. For example last weekend’s NFL games brought in $489,960 in just 32,000 bets.

This past weekend’s results are at a thirty one percent increase from the week before. If you compare the numbers now to the numbers from the first week then sports bets have increased one hundred and twenty one percent in ones placed and it has seen an eighty nine percent increase in dollars wagered.

The increase may be surprising to some as the state is only allowing parlay betting. The state was hoping to offer a wide variety of sports betting options but government officials only allowed the parlays. Even so, the parlays have continued to do well and are showing numbers that were better than expected.
