Recently Playtech purchased Player2Players, a sports betting software provider. Playtech is already one of the largest providers of online gambling services and now they can offer their customers sports betting options along with their long list of services.

The amount of the purchase has not been released but now customers of Playtech will have access to poker, casino, bingo and sports betting software. This is sure to only increase business for Playtech, which is doing very well, even before the acquirement of Player2Players.

Several online casinos, poker rooms and various other gambling websites use Playtech software so we should the addition of sports betting offered very soon by those who choose to add the software.

The latest report from Playtech stated that the company has seen an increase in profits up to 55% from their gambling services. A large chunk of the profits earned by Playtech are most likely coming from William Hill.

Playtech recently signed a deal with William Hill, the sportsbook, to take 29% of William Hill Online profits. According to many reports, Playtech went up 40% in profit from the William Hill deal.
