Two Online Casino Managers Were Arrested in Turkey
While operating a online casino can be a very lucrative enterprise you have to be prepared for an amount of risk especially in countries that have tried to make internet wagering illegal. Two employees of Sportingbet have figured out the risks may not be worth the profit as they are now dealing with being detained and arrested in Turkey earlier this week.

A spokesman from Sportingbet said that along with two managers, several other people that were connected to Maslin Properties were grabbed by authorities. Maslin was Sportingbet's local marketing partner in Turkey in the past.

The Unites States has been the most aggressive government to pursue online operators and has arrested several officials from different online gambling sites that include, Peter Dicks the Chairman of Sportingbet. They aren't the only country to have gone after online gaming, both France and Israel have gone after people that work for companies that provide online gambling access to their citizens.

There is a new law in Turkey that allows the people to gamble online but it prohibits unlicensed casinos from taking their money. Sportingbet however says that the two middle managers were on vacation and they haven't been notified as to the cause of the arrests. The company is still taking bets from Turkish players and says that they don't believe they are in violation of the law.
