Wimbledon 2009 Betting Odds for Venus and Radwanska
The betting odds for several matchups of the 2009 Wimbledon have been released by bookmakers and gamblers can now place their bets. Venus Williams is set to play Agnieszka Radwanska and bookmakers have posted their odds for the matchup. Venus earned her way to the quarter finals when her fourth round match against Ana Iavonic was cancelled. Iavonic, the former number one player, had to walk away from the match due to a thigh injury. Venus commented: “Today I felt really sad for her actually. She was really upset. This is Wimbledon. It’s the last place you want to have an injury that you can’t overcome.”
Venus will now face 11th seed Agineszka Radwanska in the quarter finals. Radwanska beat Melanie Oudin 6-4, 7-5 to advance to the quarter finals. Bodog has projected Venus as a fourth round sports betting odds favorite against Radwanska.
Radwanska odds of winning stand at 2-0 (+900ML) and her odds to not win are 2-0 (-2500). Venus to win is 2-0 (-225ML) and not to win 2-0 (+165ML). It will be interesting to see if the bookmakers are right or if the underdog will pull out the win.
